Congratulations to the winner of this magnificent 1.71ct pink sapphire!


the winning bid for the stone was $1649, someone got very lucky indeed as this is no where near the retail value of the stone!

ALL monies raised are being deposited to the bushfire appeal account through st george bank australia, so a very big thank you to all of you who participated in this auction, we have all done our part to help those of us in need and i am sure this money will go a long way in helping the victims of Australias’ worst ever natural disaster

Bushfire Appeal Update

Hi Guys,

Just an update for you with this auction, we have so far had 4 bids come through and the highest bid to date is:-

$1190

the pink sapphire will go to the winning bidder for the final price we reach, with ALL monies raised going to the Victorian bushfire appeal. Just a reminder to you all that when we reach the retail value of the sapphire, I will give YOU for FREE $2000 worth of my time and 18ct gold to make the piece up for you!

The auction closes at 5pm on Saturday the 28th February, so get your bids in for this great cause and help those of us that really need it the most.

“THE WORST NATURAL DISASTER IN AUSTRALIAN HISTORY”

WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP?

NOW IS THE TIME TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED AS AN AUSTRALIAN

These are images we are all too familiar with in Australia when a major bushfire strikes, especially in the last week or so. So many people have been affected by the “worst natural disaster” to ever happen in Australia, that I have not been able to speak to ANYONE I know in Melbourne or who is from Victoria that does NOT know somebody affected by this tragedy.

It is now time for the rest of us as Australians to band together and give what we can in a time of need such as this.

Congratulations to all of you who have already made a donation in some way shape or form, you have shown what it is to be an Australian and shown that true mateship and nationhood that will ensure we, as both a nation AND as individuals, will come out the other side of this stronger than before.

At Eskae Jeweller, we are also looking to do our part to help those in need, and we got to thinking about exactly what it is we could do for these fellow Australians. Both Sharisse and I decided that we would

This PINK sapphire weighs 1.71cts and measures 6.7mm x 5.9mm and has INTENSE colour

It is a VIBRANT and FIREY gemstone (no pun intended) you will see what I mean when you see it for yourself!

To give you an indication of how highly I regard this stone, I have been holding onto it for a gift to my wife, Sharisse…

It is emerald cut in shape and it will lend itself PERFECTLY to being set as a ring or as a centre stone for a magnificent pendant!

How will the auction work?

· I will be accepting email bids ONLY (Sam@EskaeJeweller.com) up untill the closing time, so get your bids in before the date to make sure you are in the running!

· At the end of everyday that I receive a bid, I will email the new highest bid through, your privacy will be respected. If NO bids are received on any given day, then you will not receive an email.

· The winner will be contacted by myself to arrange delivery and to discuss their options after that.

· I will happily provide a receipt of the money being paid into the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, should the winner wish.

I am sure that most of you will know someone in Victoria who is either affected directly or indirectly by this national tragedy, as I mentioned earlier, now is the time to DO something, take action and place your bid to help those who need it most.

giving back update!

an update on how our giving back went!

on Sunday the 21st December, sharisse and i went to drop off the goods we had collected and put together for this family.

we found out later that day that it was actually one of the kids birthdays on the 21st! we had dropped the parcel off during the day when we knew that they would be out, so i am presuming that when they all got home they had an amazing surprise! especially being one of the kids birthdays too.

for those of you who got in touch with us, thank you. this sort of thing doesn’t happen with out the goodwill of other people, yet it is probably one of the most powerful and exciting experiences you can have.

Christmas Spirit

this post is short and to the point. sometimes the simplest message is just that, nice and simple…

As you know, ESKAE Jeweller recently helped out the starlight foundation for sick kids, by sponsoring a prize that raised money for the foundation, all of which was donated to the starlight foundation. Being Christmas time, we are now getting ready to help a family in need. this family doesn’t always have the money to buy enough food to support themselves… anyway…

we are putting some money together to buy them a very special Christmas lunch. (and hopefully more!)

we contacted our local church and asked them if they knew of any family who are in need of a hand this year. the leader of the church knew of one such family and we are grateful and lucky enough to be in a position to help, so we will be making contact with the family shortly before Christmas eve and delivering the groceries.

this family is made up of a single mother with 3 teenage kids 2 boys and a girl, aged 13, 15, 16.

outside of our usual business of creating beautiful artworks of diamonds, jewels and gold, we like to be able to help in these sorts of ways where possible. if you are in a position to help us help this family have a great Christmas this year, whether it be donating money to the cause or donating toys or gifts for the kids, please get in touch with myself at Sam@EskaeJeweller.com to arrange how you can help.

Eskae Sponsor silent auction prize at the Starlight Fundraiser

ESKAE Jeweller attended an sponsored a silent auction prize at this years Starlight Foundation Fundraiser:- 5 Designers Fashion Parade which was held on Friday the 21st November.

this is a great event that helps raise money for seriously ill kids, so that they can have their dream come true, both in and out of the hospital. the foundation brightens the lives of not only the kids, but also those of the parents as well, during a tough time in their lives. you can find out more information here.

during the fashion parade, we were treated to the fashion of leading designers such as BOWIE WONG and CHARLIE BROWN. these two designers for me were the highlight as they really hit fashion on the nose and showcased just what fashion is all about! feeling fantastic and expressing yourself the way you want to.

Bianca Dye from nova 969 was the MC and she is a great laugh! my wife and i were lucky enough to meet her and ended up having a great conversation with her about lots of different things and what it is like presenting on national radio sounds like a fun way to earn your living! we also met the 2008 miss Australia runner up, Sonia Lipski, this young lady is a class act, beautifully presented and all with a depth of person that is not common in people of her age group, i certainly don’t remember being so self aware at 20! good luck to Sonia in the 2009 competition.

all in all our night was a great experience and we are very happy to help out in any way we can possible, especially for sick kids. i would encourage any of you who are interested and able, to get in touch with Pino Foti at pino.foti@starlight.org.au he will be able to help you out and will certainly be able to point you in the right direction if you would like to contribute to the foundation in any way possible.

we do have some pics of the night, however our cameras battery ran out, as we forgot to charge it! we are waiting for the pics to come through from a friend of ours, once they arrive we will post them up here for you all to see.

our prize did go to a winner, we were able to raise several hundred dollars from the prize alone, which is a great result for the starlight foundation.
